Dwayne Fleming among athletes representing Antigua at CARIFTA 2023
Antigua and Barbuda has selected a strong 15-member team to compete at next month’s CARIFTA Games in Nassau, The Bahamas.
Among the athletes heading to the 50th edition of CARIFTA is Dwayne Fleming, who won gold in the Under-17 100 metres last year.
Fleming will be competing in the 100m and 200m.
The full squad is:
U-17 Girls: Naomi McDonald (shot put), Gerlin Barnes (long jump).
U-17 Boys: Kasiya Daley (100,200,4X100), Cleon Joseph (100, 200, 4X100), Juda Ash (4X100), Rhyce Joseph (4X100) and Malique Francis (javelin).
U-20 Girls: LaNica Locker (100, 200, 4X100), Geolyna Dowdye (100, 200, 4X100), Alyssa Dyett (triple jump, 4X100), Janisha Spencer (4x100m).
U-20 Boys: Craig Pendergast (400 hurdles), Ajani Daley (100, 200), Dwayne Fleming (100, 200),Kiron O’Garro (400).
