Grenada’s Olympic pins showcase the ‘Spice Isle’ in Paris
The Grenada Olympic Committee has revealed the pins that Team Grenada will proudly display and exchange with other athletes at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The Commitee explains the first pin was designed around Grenada’s nutmeg which is used as symbol on the national flag and many other promotional materials. It says nutmeg is the main reason the island is now called the “Spice Isle”.
Meanwhile, the second pin was designed around the Olympic House which is a symbol of the strength, grit and determination of their Grenadian athletes.
Grenada has sent a six-member team to the Paris Olympics. The track and field athletes are Kirani James, Lindon Victor, Anderson Peters and Halle Hazzard while the swimmers are Tilly Collymore and Zackary Gresham.
Lindon Victor was selected as the flag bearer for the parade of nations.
