Shooting and robbery being investigated in the Turks and Caicos

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) is continuing investigations into two separate incidents that occurred on Sunday morning- a shooting and a robbery.

In the first incident, at around 1.51 am, the Police Control Room received a call that two armed men had robbed a man of his vehicle.

According to reports the man had arrived at his Blue Hills, Providenciales home and after exiting his vehicle, was accosted by the robbers. The suspects escaped with personal items belonging to the victim.

Meanwhile, the second incident occurred at 2.02 am in the Grace Bay area.

A team of officers responded to reports of gunshots in the vicinity of a nightclub in Grace Bay.

After searching the location, officers found several spent shells. The scene was cordoned off and processed.
