May 2024 shows strong growth in visitors to Bonaire

Tourism continues to boom in Bonaire as the country welcomed 13,133 stayover visitors last month.

The Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) said this is a four per cent increase when compared to May 2023.

The Netherlands remained the top source market for visitors, accounting for 47 per cent of the total. Most of the visitors hailed from North Holland, South Holland, and North Brabant.

The second largest group of visitors were Americans, who accounted for 20 per cent. US visitors were primarily from New York, Florida, Massachusetts, California and Colorado.

On the cruise side, Bonaire welcomed 43,567 cruise visitors on a total of 21 cruise ships in March 2024 and 34,679 cruise visitors on a total of 14 ships in April 2024.
