Low income housing units to be distributed in Grenada

Many Grenadians will be closer to their dream of home ownership as the Housing Authority of Grenada (HAG) has announced that progress has been made in the distribution of its low-income housing units  beginning with Corinth, St David.

The Housing Authority of Grenada says the process for acquiring a unit will be seamless. The process includes Inspection and Acceptance of Units; Signing of the Sale Agreement; Preparation of Conveyance by the Legal Team; Finalisation of transactions between financial institutions, HAG, and the legal team and then Hand Over of Keys to Homeowner.

HAG said during the last few months, diligent efforts were made to finalise the acquisition process by procuring closets and cupboards for all units to ensure that units are safe and liveable for all residents.

It says the distribution of housing units is now underway. Today, financial institutions will be notified of the legal documentation for the units.

Units will be handed over in the following order: Corinth, St David; The Villa, St Patrick; Dumfries, Carriacou; Beausejour, St George; and Diamond, St Mark.
