Carifta 2024: Team Bahamas in unstoppable hunt for medals
The Bahamas is keeping the pressure up at the 51st Carifta Games, amassing a total of 25 medals in Grenada.
Team Bahamas collected 18 medals on Day 2 of the Carifta Games and currently holds seven Gold, nine Silver and nine Bronze medals.
On Day 2, The Bahamas claimed Silver in the Girls’ Under-17 4X100 metres, Bronze in the Boys’ Under-17 4X100m and Bronze in the Girls’ Under-20 4X100m.
Davon Davis claimed Bronze in the Boys’ Under-17 Triple Jump.
Jaylen Stuart also collected a Bronze medal in the Boys’ Under-17 Shot Put.
Darvinique Dean claimed Silver in the Girls’ Under-17 400m hurdles.
J’kaiyah Rolle struck Gold in the Girls’ U17 Long Jump.
Team Bahamas claimed Gold and Silver in the Girls’ Under-20 Javelin Throw by Tasha Stubbs and Venessa Sawyer respectively.
Annae Mackey won Silver in the Girls’ U20 Shot Put.
Bernard Kemp grabbed Silver in the Boys’ U20 Long Jump. Kemp also claimed Bronze in the Boys’ U20 Javelin.
It was also a back to back Gold and Silver win for The Bahamas in the Boys’ U17 High Jump from Joshua Williams and Claudius Burrows respectively.
