Vybz Kartel’s presence in SVG sets tongues wagging
Dancehall Superstar Vybz Kartel arrived in St Vincent and the Grenadines over the weekend, creating a buzz over social media for Vincentians about his presence on island.
The entertainer first shared a clip on day ago on his Instagram page boarding a private jet only for Vincentians to realise he eventually touched down at the Argyle International Airport.
Later in the day another video was shared on Kartel’s social media pages of him engaged in a workout session.
A caption for the video on his Instagram page said: “First day Vincy Workout 😰 one word…HARD!..but me nuh know wah name give up! #GodistheGreatest”
Vybz Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, served 13 years for murder, a conviction that was eventually quashed by the Privy Council, which was followed by the local Court of Appeal ordering that he not be retried in the matter.
The ‘Summer Time’ deejay has reportedly been struggling with a number of health issues, including Graves’ disease and heart challenges.
Local media in SVG recently reported that the Jamaican Dancehall star was looking at three countries to pursue medical care, and one of those countries included St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Vybz Kartel was also among the many persons who recently wished Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves a happy birthday on social media.
