Vincentian designer launches new fragrance
Vincentian fashion designer and perfumer Kimya Glasgow has launched her second fragrance “Paradise” at an exclusive event held in the hills of Vermont at Spirit of the Valley on October 6.
The intimate launch gathered select businesswomen and entrepreneurs to experience the new scent, which draws inspiration from the Caribbean’s natural landscape and cultural heritage.
“With Paradise, I wanted to create an exquisite experience and journey that reflects the serenity and allure of our Caribbean islands. This fragrance is a love letter to the Caribbean, capturing the essence of nature’s beauty and the warmth of our people,” Glasgow said at the launch.
The fragrance combines citrus, floral, woody, and spicy notes to evoke what Glasgow describes as the Caribbean’s contrasting energies – from peaceful to pulsating. The scent aims to tell a story of regional paradox through its carefully selected ingredients.
Glasgow, who heads Kimya Glasgow Inc., a sustainable slow-fashion brand, has integrated her commitment to environmental consciousness into this latest venture.
The new fragrance aligns with her broader mission of empowering Caribbean women through sustainable luxury products.
“Paradise” is now available at several local retailers including Common Ground in Kingstown and Bequia, The Trend in Kingstown, Purple House in Mustique, and Bequia Threadworks. Customers can also purchase online through kimyaglasgow.com.
