USVI: Alleged ‘Peeping Tom’ arrested on St Croix

A 65-year-old US Virgin Islands man was placed on $500 bail after he was detained in connection with a complaint that he allegedly spied on a woman.

The Virgin Islands Police Force (VIPD) said a report was made at the Wilbur Francis Command Police Station by a woman who accused Elvis Thomas of “peeping through her window while engaging in lewd acts on himself.”

“The victim stated while reviewing her home camera footage, she observed a male on the property peeping through her windows and engaged in lewd conduct. He had been to her home on more than three different occasions,”  VIPD said in a statement.

A warrant was issued for Thomas on July 8 for indecent exposure and trespassing, and he was subsequently arrested.
