TS Kirk forms over Atlantic, expected to become a major hurricane

Tropical Storm Kirk has formed in the Eastern Atlantic Ocean.

Kirk is the eleventh named storm of the year.

At 11am, the storm was located 1,195 kilometres west-south-west of the Cabo Verde Islands.
