Six islands nominated for Caribbean’s Best Cruise Destination award
Six Caribbean islands have garnered nominations in the ‘Caribbean’s Best Cruise Destination’ category for the 2024 World Cruise Awards.
The World Cruise Awards annually recognizes excellence in the global cruise sector, highlighting destinations, terminals, cruise lines, and travel agencies that excel in service and offerings.
The nominated islands include Antigua, Barbados, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Bahamas, and Turks and Caicos, each vying for the title of the Caribbean’s Best Cruise Destination.
In addition to the best cruise destination category, the awards also recognize excellence in other areas such as Caribbean’s Best Cruise Terminal.
Nominees in these categories include renowned ports like Antigua Cruise Port, Grand Turk Cruise Center (Turks & Caicos Islands), Nassau Cruise Port (The Bahamas), Port of Bridgetown (Barbados), Port of George Town (Cayman Islands), Port of Ocho Rios (Jamaica), Port of Spain (Trinidad & Tobago), Port of Willemstad (Curaçao), Port St Maarten, and Ports of Out Islands (Bahamas).
Furthermore, the awards honor top cruise lines in the Caribbean that consistently deliver exceptional experiences, with nominees including Carnival Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, Seabourn, and Silversea.
Among the categories, the Caribbean’s Best Cruise Travel Agency for 2024 nominees include: Cayman Travel Services, Cruise Planners, Know Jamaica Tours, Maduro Travel, The Indar Weir Travel Centre, and Travel Pros.
Voting for the awards is currently underway and will remain open until October 6.
A ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 24 at the Savoy Palace in Madeira.
