Sandals Resort celebrates soft opening in St Vincent & the Grenadines
An official ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the soft opening of Sandals Resort at Buccament Bay in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
It was a small gathering where those in attendance got their first glimpse of the newest all-inclusive resort, as a larger opening ceremony will be held later in the year.
Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves and other guests were given a tour of the Sandals Resort, with Gonsalves stating he is highly impressed.
Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, Adam Stewart, says the hotel is a sure piece and described it as Caribbean excellence.
The resort welcomed 75 guests today. Among them a Trinidadian couple Robert Sawh and Anjanie Gaouette made history as the very first guests of the Sandals Resort, Buccament, St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Sandals Saint Vincent and The Grenadines is the ninth Caribbean destination and 18th Sandals Resort for Sandals Resorts International.
The resort offers 301 rooms and suites.
