New luxury hotspot Merveilles opens in Grenada
Grenada’s luxury entertainment scene has become even more opulent with the opening of the Merveilles development.
The Merveilles, located just five miles from the Maurice Bishop International Airport, opened on October 22 and is developed by Ora Developers.
The facility, which is nestled in the heart of Port Louis, features Chez Louis, the signature Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, alongside Cafe Louis and Le Bar de Chez Louis.
Speaking at the opening, Mark Scott, CEO of JDC expressed his excitement about the new hotspot.
“This space is transformative for Grenada, and we can’t wait to welcome the world to the Merveilles Entertainment hub, which features shops, stores, and our signature restaurant, bar, and café,” Scott said.
Eng. Naguib Sawiris, Chairman and CEO of Ora Developers, shared his personal connection to the island: “I fell in love with Grenada and its people the first time I visited. There’s something special about this gem of an island, and I am so happy to be playing a part in its development. What I wanted to do with Merveilles is to put Grenada on the map as one of the world’s best destinations.”
Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell, who was present at the event alongside Governor-General Dame Cécile La Grenade, said the development reflects Grenada’s resilience.
“Coming out of the destruction of Hurricane Beryl, no one would’ve expected a development like this to be completed now. That’s what resilience and having a plan can achieve,” he said.
