Global payment and wire transfer service company, MoneyGram, which encountered a cybersecurity issue, has advised customers that many of its agent partners are now available for sending and receiving money, including fulfilling pending transactions.

MoneyGram did not indicate which agent partners (or countries) it has made progress with.

In its latest update on September 25, the company said it continues to make progress and is resuming additional services.

MoneyGram added that it is continuing to work diligently to resume its remaining services, including moneygram.com.  Its main website continues to say, “We’ll be right back. We’re busy updating the website. Please check back soon.”

In the Caribbean, some updates were shared that MoneyGram services were back online. Massy Finance Remittance Services in Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and St Lucia announced today that MoneyGram services were back online and that persons can now visit any of its locations to send or receive money with MoneyGram.

Going Places Travel also announced that as of Wednesday, September 25, MoneyGram services were back up at its St Lucia and St Vincent offices, however, connectivity may be intermittent.

The travel company noted its Barbados offices are not fully operational as yet as agents are still awaiting service restoration.
