Kyron McMaster punches ticket to 400m hurdles finals
British Virgin Islands (BVI) Kyron McMaster has secured a spot in the men’s 400 metre hurdles finals.
McMaster, 27, was an automatic qualifier after he won semi-final two with a time of 48.15 seconds.
The 2023 World Championship silver medallist had the fifth fastest time going into Friday’s finals.
It’s the second time that McMaster has qualified for the finals.
In the 2021 Tokyo Games, he finished in fourth place.
McMaster is joined in the finals by Jamaican Roshawn Clarke.
McMaster and the eight other competitors will race at 3:45pm BVI time.
