Kirani James finishes 5th at London Diamond League
With less than a week to go to the Paris Olympic Games, Grenadian Olympic champion Kirani James placed 5th at the London Diamond League in the Men’s 400 metres on Saturday.
Running out of lane 7, the three-time Olympic medallist ran a season best of 44.38s.
The race was won by Matthew Hudson-Smith of Great Britain who stormed to a new European record and World Lead of 43.74s.
Vernon Norwood of the USA took second place with personal best of 44.10s while Trinidad and Tobago’s Jereem Richards finished in third place with a personal best of 44.18s.
