Heat wave grips Grenada
A heat wave advisory has been issued for Grenada as temperatures are expected to remain high over the next 48 hours.
The Meteorological Services says October 1 marks the fourth consecutive day with temperatures above 32.0 °C at Point Salines.
Model guidance indicates relatively high temperatures for the next few days.
In Grenada, today’s High is 33.0 °C and Tomorrow’s High is expected to be 32.5 °C.
A heat wave is two or more consecutive days with temperatures 32.0 °C or greater.
During this time the public is urged to dress appropriately, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, avoid closed spaces, and look after the young, old and pets.
