Grenada’s Anderson Peters takes bronze in men’s javelin at Paris 2024

Anderson Peters has picked up Grenada’s second medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Peters won bronze in the men’s javelin when his fourth round effort of 88.54 metres pushed Czechia’s Jakub Vadlejch off the podium.

Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem won the event in style setting a new Olympic Record of 92.97 m. Indian Neeraj Chopra, who was the defending champion, placed second with a throw of 89.45m.

This is Peters’ first Olympic medal to go with the World Championships titles he won in 2019 and 2022.

Peters is the third Grenadian to win an Olympic medal.
