Grenada’s 2024 hunting season opens in October

Hunters and the public have been advised that Grenada’s hunting season will open on October 1 and run until December 31, 2024.  

The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Forestry, Marine Resources, and Cooperatives in a notice said the following animals are permissible targets for hunting during the open period: 

• MANICOU  

• TATOU  

• MONKEY  

• IGUANA  

• RAMIER (Scaly-naped Pigeon)  

The Forestry Department is encouraging all hunters to comply with all regulations and guidelines to preserve sustainable hunting practices that safeguard the island’s animal resources.
