Grenada promotes natural trees for Christmas season
Grenadians have been asked to consider a natural Christmas tree as opposed to an artificial tree, to brighten up their homes for the holidays.
The Ministry of Agriculture has announced that the Forestry Department will be hosting its annual Christmas tree sale for 2024.
Dillon Palmer from the Forestry Department said the trees range in height from 5 to 8 feet and the cost is $10 per foot. So, for example, if someone wants to buy a tree that is five feet, it will cost $50.
The Ministry is urging citizens this Christmas to choose tradition and sustainability with a natural tree.
The number of natural trees available is limited and interested persons have been asked to place their orders early at 473-440-2934 or 415- 8173.
