First tropical wave of 2024 analysed in Central Atlantic

The 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season is fast approaching and already the first tropical wave of the upcoming hurricane season was analysed this morning.  

The US National Hurricane Center added the tropical wave on its surface analysis map for 2024. 

Acccording to the NHC’s Tropical Weather Outlook posted on May 22  at 2 pm for the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico, Tropical Cyclone formation is not expected during the next seven days. 

The Atlantic Hurricane Season runs from June 1 to November 30.
