Beryl prompts temporary closure of Argyle International Airport

The Argyle International Airport (AIA) has temporarily halted operations due to the impact of Hurricane Beryl. In a recent statement, airport authorities announced plans for resuming services.

“Normal operations will resume from Wednesday, July 3 at 8:00am,” the AIA administration declared. 

The statement further detailed, “AIA will prioritize humanitarian and military aircraft from 8:00am to 12:00pm and Commercial aircraft thereafter.”

The effects of Hurricane Beryl have extended beyond AIA. Airport officials confirmed, “Bequia and Canouan airports remain closed until further notice.”
