Antigua wins St Maarten Caribbean Carnival Queen crown

Antigua and Barbuda’s Ischikelle Corbin has been crowned the 2024 Miss St Maarten Carnival Caribbean Queen.  

The inaugural pageant was held in St Maarten on Tuesday night at the Joceyln Arndell Festival Village as part of the Carnival activities on the Dutch Caribbean Island.  

It was indeed a shining moment for Miss Antigua and Barbuda’s Ischikelle Corbin as besides winning the prestigious title, she was also awarded Best Interview, Best Swimwear, Best Evening Wear and Best Identical Question.  

The Antiguan beauty queen is no stranger to the world of pageantry as she is the 2023 Miss Jaycees Queen and was also crowned Miss Antigua Queen of Carnival in 2023. Corbin, 27, is a mental health and wellness advocate with a passion for personal development, content creation, and volunteerism. 

Second runner up in the St Maarten Carnival Caribbean Queen pageant went to Claire Marissa Smartt, who was also named Miss Photogenic.  

The third runner up position was captured by D’Shnay York, who was also named Miss Popularity.  

Miss Haiti’s Paul-Anne Americus Mildrede was named Miss Amity.  

Eight contestants participated in the pageant representing the countries of Anguilla, Haiti, Guyana, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda, St Eustatius, St Maarten and St Lucia.
