Antigua: New royalty crowned in Mr and Miss Teenage 2024
The Mr and Miss Teenage Pageant 2024, an annual contest in Antigua’s Carnival, concluded with a spectacular showcase of talent, poise, and environmental awareness.
Mandela Ango Anyandjuh from St Joseph’s Academy and Gabrielle Hamlet from Sir Novelle Richards Academy emerged victorious, claiming the coveted titles of Mr. and Ms. Teenage 2024, respectively.
In the boys’ category, Ja’quan Christopher from Clarehall Secondary School secured the first runner-up position, while Drayton Payne from Glanvilles Secondary School took third place. For the girls, Anya Hull of Clarehall Secondary School was awarded first runner-up, followed by Aniah Laurent from Princess Margaret School in third place.
The pageant featured both prejudged segments and live judged categories. In the prejudged categories, several contestants stood out:
- Most Improved: Deana Romeo (Glanvilles Secondary) and Jayean Browne (Jennings Secondary)
- Most Helpful: T’Keyah Allen and Jaydean Brown both of Jennings Secondary
- Best Leadership Qualities: Deana Romeo and Jaydean Brown
- Most Congenial: Anya Hull (Clarehall Secondary) and Mandela Ango Anyandjuh
- Most Photogenic: Gabrielle Hamlet and Mandela Ango Anyandjuh
