Antigua & Barbuda clinches third straight OECS Swimming title

Antigua and Barbuda has again shown its dominance in regional swimming by winning the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Swimming Championships.

This was the twin island nation’s third successive win.

Antigua and Barbuda’s swimmers amassed a total of 1,419 points, finishing ahead of Grenada with 1,301.50 points and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, whose swimmers earned 1,102 points.

Antigua and Barbuda’s victories in the tournament included clean sweeps in the Boys’ 9-10 and 15-17 400M Freestyle events. Additionally, Ellie Shaw set a new OECS record with a time of 1:13.14 in the 100M Breaststroke.

Over 100 swimmers from across the OECS competed at the competition, which was held in St Vincent and the Grenadines from November 8-10.
