American Airlines to expand service to Dominica from June
American Airlines is set to increase its service to Dominica in the coming months.
Denise Charles-Pemberton, Minister for Tourism, said the airline is set to operate a daily service to Dominica from June 5 to August 5 and from October 7 to March 31, 2025.
Charles-Pemberton said Dominica was able to secure the route expansion after engaging American Airlines representatives at the Routes America trade show last month.
The daily service will cover Dominica’s bumper travel season, which includes their world-renowned Creole Music Festival and Carnival 2025.
The minister called on Dominica’s hotel owners to make use of the expanded service by making their product more attractive to visitors.
“In order to sustain these daily flights, I am appealing to the accommodation sector to offer attractive packages to guests who want to travel in the summer, winter, and during our festivals,” she said.
“I commend WINAIR, InterCaribbean, and Caribbean Airlines for partnering with us to offer attractive fares for Jazz ‘n Creole this year. All roads lead to Portsmouth next month for a long weekend in the North. I urge Dominicans, both near and far, and visitors worldwide to take advantage of these direct flights.”
Charles-Pemberton urged people interested in visiting Dominica to reserve their seats as soon as possible or they may miss out on a chance to experience all that the island has to offer.
