All Positions Up For Grabs At TCI Basketball Federation AGM Saturday, March 25

The Annual General Meeting of the Turks and Caicos Islands Basketball Federation (TCIBF) will take place on Saturday, March 25 at the Edward Gartland Youth Centre beginning at 4p.m.

The federation will seek to elect a new executive at the AGM, while discussing the work of the outgoing federation executive, including the management of its finances and improvements, if any, made during the Sydwell Glasgow-led administration.

In addition to the presidency, all other positions will be up for election. Those included, 1st vice president position, currently being held by Keith Cox; the 2nd vice president position, currently held by Curtis Forde; the secretary general position, presently being held by Trevor Melvin Cooke; the assistant secretary position now being held by Nekoda Fullford; the treasurer’s position, which is at present being held by Nathalie Sweeting; Assistant Treasurer position, presently being held by Mark Alexander; and the Adelante Women Forum, at current being held by Darcia Forbes.

According to the Federation, those who will be eligible to vote are:

· the PABL coaches and assistant coaches, who coached in the most recent PABL (last year)

· High School coaches and assistant coaches, who took part in last year’s high school league;

· Executives of the Filipino League;

· Provo Amateur Referee Association; and

· executive Board Members of Organizations that are in good standing.

The Federation has also made arrangements for proxy voting, with those opting to vote via that route are provided with a form to fill out and to be signed before returning.
