Carifta 2024: Team Grenada earns more medals on Day 2
Grenada’s medal count has increased to nine after the team won six medals on Day 2 of the 51st Carifta Games at the Kirani James Athletiics Stadium, with Crystophe Calliste bagging the team’s first Gold of the 2024 Games.
Among Grenada’s achievements on Saturday, Crystophe Calliste won Gold in the Boys’ Under-17 Triple Jump with a distance of 14.67 metres, a personal best.
Alliah Gittens secured Bronze in the Girls’ Under-20 Javelin with a throw of 42.33 metres.
Grenada’s Relay Team snagged Bronze in the Boys’ Under-20 4X100 metres with a time of 40.71s and Silver in the Mixed Relay Open 4X400 metres with a time of 3:29:19s.
Rayvohn Telesford placed second in the Boys’ Under-20 Javelin Throw with a throw of 67.34m to take Silver while Timothy Greenidge with a leap of 2.05 metres won Silver in the Boys’ Under-20 High Jump.
