Vincy Jewels named champions of 4th ECCB Netball Series

St Vincent and the Grenadines is beaming with pride as the Vincy Jewels were declared the champions of the 4th Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) Netball International Series.  

The Vincentian team, which remained undefeated throughout the series, secured their major victory over the weekend when they outmatched Grenada 59-50 in the final game on Sunday in St Lucia.  

Grenada finished second in the netball series while St Lucia placed third.  

The Vincy Jewels were awarded Champions and Best Shooting Team with 498 goals and 586 attempts.   

Kristiana Christopher received the award for Most Valuable Player for St Vincent. Mary-Ann Frederick was awarded Best Shooter, as she scored 373 goals, and her accuracy was 92.8 per cent.  

The 4th ECCB International Netball Series was held from September 21 to 30.
