14 youngsters to compete in St Kitts-Nevis Junior Calypso Competition

Fourteen talented young calypsonians are preparing to take the stage at the Green House Band Junior Calypso Competition.

The showdown is scheduled for December 15 at 5pm at the Plaza of the St Kitts Marriott. 

The free event will feature performances from both primary and secondary school students, including reigning Primary School Monarch, Mighty Zen, and current Secondary School Monarch, Star Boy Nicholas.

The Primary School Category will showcase seven performers: Mighty Zen (Zenobia Johnson) from Nevis, who currently holds the crown; Chase The Dream (Chase Harding) from Nevis; and St. Kitts representatives Adiaha (Adiaha Inanga), Prince Khi (Roland Amaro), Sir Kalypso (Rokimba Wigley), Prince Dj (Devon Richardson), and King Super Knowledge (Kenver Francis).

The Secondary School Category will feature seven contestants: defending champion Star Boy Nicholas (Nicholas Petty) from St Kitts, along with fellow St Kitts performers Mighty QJ (Quincy Isaac), Energetic I (Ilovely Pemberton), Mighty J (Edward Williams), and Lady B (Aaliyah Buchanan). Nevis will be represented by Dequan (Dequan Hendrickson) and Lega-Z (Zyon Harding).

All performers will be backed by the Green House Band.
